Chand says sorry to Fiza, reaches her home
Zeenews Bureau
Chandigarh, June 14: In a new twist to Chand-Fiza love saga, former Haryana deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan on Sunday apologised to his second wife Fiza.
Talking to reporters in the company of Fiza he said he had pronounced 'Talaq' only twice and not thrice. Fiza, however, said she would take a decision only after consulting her mother and family members.
"After consulting my mother and family members I will take my decision," she said adding Chand today arrived at her residence and apologised.
"From yesterday, he was calling me on mobile phone while I was avoiding his calls. Chandermohan arrived at my residence and had a word with my mother first."
"I had a detailed discussion with him and he apologised for whatever happened in the past," claimed Fiza.
"I will think about living with him again and withdrawing the case against him. He had been misled by others," Fiza said.
"I have apologised to her. I have not divorced her," Chander Mohan said.
Talking to media persons with Fiza sitting next to him at her residence in Mohali town, Chand Mohammed said that his previous statements regarding his strained ties with Fiza were recorded under pressure. He said that he could not live without Fiza.
Chand Mohammad has also urged Fiza not to continue her legal battle against his family.
Chand said, "Fiza is still my wife and I love her more than before."
Meanwhile, he alleged that he was abducted by Devi Lal, an associate of his brother Kuldeep Bishnoi and his men from Mohali.
"My family has disowned me and I want to stay with Fiza only," he said, adding that as far as Talaq is concerned he said it only twice and not thrice. He said whatever he uttered against Fiza was under pressure.
Chander Mohan married Anuradha Bali after converting to Islam in December last year. The marriage went sour in nearly 40 days, and he divorced Fiza over the phone and through SMS from London.
Fiza, a lawyer herself, had filed a criminal complaint with Punjab Police against Chander Mohan in which she accused him of rape, defamation, cheating and of hurting her religious sentiments.
The 37-year-old former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana had changed her name from Anuradha Bali to Fiza after converting to Islam to marry Chander.
Both have traded charges against each other in the last four months but Sunday marked a new chapter in their controversial story that has inspired Bollywood producers too.
Chander Mohan lost his high-profile job of deputy Chief Minister in December last year after he emerged from a 40-day hiding with his new wife, new name and religion.
Chander alias Chand Mohammed, who has three children from his first marriage, had walked out of Fiza's house in January this month, barely a couple of months after their secret marriage. He went to UK from where he declared he had divorced Fiza and returned this month.

Mohali:
At 7 on Sunday morning, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza was still asleep in her HIG flat number 216, Sector 48-C in Mohali when a knock was heard at the door. Her mother, Savita, answered and found Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad standing in a white t-shirt and light grey lower with folded hands.
The 43-year-old greeted his ‘former’ mother-in-law and pleaded to be allowed to meet his 37-year-old estranged wife. After much persuasion, he could meet Fiza around 11 am and life came a full circle.
After 136 days of separation, they reunited.
To Fiza’s litany of complaints over Chand leaving her, flying abroad, divorcing over phone and calling her a “closed chapter”, Chand responded with silence.
He reportedly sought forgiveness from the former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana. Now, he added, he wanted to live with her again as her husband.

Chand back with Fiza, says sorry

The last word on the Chand-Fiza on-off marriage is yet to be heard.
Former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohamed yesterday did another volte-face and returned to Anuradha Bali alias Fiza after secretly marrying her illegally and then “divorcing” her.
Chander Mohan arrived at her residence in Mohali town, adjoining Chandigarh, and apologised to her.
“I have apologised to her. I have not divorced her,” Chander Mohan said.
“I never left her, I still love her and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I am ready to leave everything, even my family, for her sake.”
Bali said she would consider his “apology” even though she had not yet made up her mind on forgiving him.
“I will think about living with him again and withdrawing the case against him. He had been misled by others,” Bali said.
“When he left my house, he never told me, that is why I was a bit apprehensive about the genuineness of his decision to return. Therefore to be absolutely sure, I wanted him to clear everything before the media,” she said.
Bali said Chander Mohan had requested her to withdraw the case against him and to forgive him.
Chander Mohan and Bali secretly got married in November last year by converting to Islam. He was already married to Seema Bishnoi and had three children from her.

In yet another twist to Chand-Fiza saga, former Haryana deputy chief minister Chand Mohammand returned to his estranged second wife and apologised for "past mistakes", months after declaring publicly that he had divorced her, but Fiza remained non-committal on a "reunion".
Talking to reporters in the company of Fiza he said he had pronounced 'Talaq' only twice and not thrice. Fiza, however, said she would take a decision only after consulting her mother and family members.

Chand Mohammed and Fiza are together again.
Chand rises, shines for Fiza again
Hillary Victor, Hindustan Times
Chand Mohammed and Fiza are together again.
Son of Haryana’s political stalwart Bhajan Lal, former deputy chief minister in the Haryana government, Chand (45) was earlier Chander Mohan till he converted to Islam last December. All in his bid to wed Fiza (38), lawyer and former additional advocate general, despite being already married.
Fiza too, formerly Anuradha Bali, converted similarly.
Within 40 days of the nikaah on December 18, however, Chand mysteriously disappeared, leading Fiza to lodge a police complaint.
On March 14, Chand called her from London to pronounce talaq three times and thereby annul their marriage.
It was said he had gone back to his first wife and children.
“I uttered the word talaq only twice over the telephone, not thrice as Islamic law requires,” said Chand addressing a press conference on Sunday.
“My marriage to Fiza is still valid.”
“She is my wife and I love her more than ever before,” he added. “I’ve come to her to apologise for the emotional turmoil she had to undergo due to my recent conduct.”
Fiza who first consumed sleeping pills after Chand left her, and had to be rushed to hospital, had later criticized him bitterly and even threatened to contest against him in the next Haryana assembly poll.
But on Sunday, clad in a flaming red kurta, she was all smiles. “I’ve yet to decide whether I’ve forgiven him,” she said. “I’m thinking about it.”

Is Google About To Introduce A Microblog Search Offering?
Is Google About To Introduce A Microblog Search Offering?
By Joseph Tartakoff - paidContent.org
Google (NSDQ: GOOG) executives have openly professed their admiration for Twitter’s success and they may finally be able to cash in on it. The Google Operating System blog reports that the company will launch a search service that will index content from Twitter and other microblogging sites, similar to Google’s current blog search offering. Results would also be incorporated into Google’s main web results. Google Operating System (which is not associated with Google) does not cite sources for its story but does note a recent Google listing, which refers to “Google’s MicroBlogsearch” and mentions Twitter as “the popular service associated with this format.” As the blog notes, it also wouldn’t be too surprising for Google to launch a way to search Twitter, considering that Google’s Marissa Mayer has said that that the company is “interested in being able to offer ... micro-blogging and micro-messaging in our search.”
It’s unclear whether Google would be launching the service independent of Twitter. The two companies have been rumored to be in discussions about some sort of search partnership—and Google CEO Eric Schmidt has talked about how ads could be attached to services like Twitter—something that he said Google would be “very happy to pursue with them.” If Google did launch its service independent of Twitter, it’s easy to see how users could swoop to the Google version, rather than Twitter’s own search service, which is riddled with problems. A Twitter executive said last month that the company was planning to bulk up its own search function but nothing has been said about those plans since. Google representatives did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment Saturday.

Bing lands with a bang, but will it boom?
By Jen Leo
The travel section of Bing ( www.bing.com/travel) is one of the major upsides to Microsoft's new search engine. The level of integration within the search feature makes shopping for travel a more informed experience from the first click -- reducing the number of steps between you and a fully booked trip. So when Microsoft calls itself a "decision" engine, it makes sense.
What's hot: Bing Travel combines Farecast flight and hotel information with Microsoft editorial content. You don't have to be within Bing Travel to access handy travel information. From the main Bing search area ( www.bing.com), type in the airport codes of your departure and destination airports and watch as reservation numbers pop up along with a sample price and links to a 30-day outlook or deals. To compare with Google, when you run the same search you get links to specific websites or blog posts. Use the "airfare deals" tab within Bing.com/travel to find low fares across the board. I found a $486 round-trip ticket between LAX or Seattle and Rome in the fall (including tax).
What's not: The hotel section has a terrific, easy-to-use user interface -- with tabs to sort the search results from the top and search refinement by amenities, price or distance on the left. It even offers historical prices so you can evaluate the deal for yourself. However, in my searches for "Vegas hotels," I discovered that the deals promoted did not match once I clicked through to the third-party site. For example, a $129 deal at the Venetian turned into $159 after I clicked through. Also, when I searched for a hotel I planned to book, no phone number was listed.
